Job summary

CEC Companies is seeking a Safety Coordinator to drive site safety programs, conduct field walks, and oversee audits and corrective actions. The role includes mentoring crews to foster a strong safety culture across project sites and addressing safety concerns daily.

The ideal candidate has OSHA 30 Construction, 1–3 years in construction safety, and strong communication skills to train teams and manage safety documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree or extensive training in environmental health and safety discipline preferred.
• 1–3 years of construction safety experience; electrical/mechanical safety preferred.
• OSHA 30 Construction certification required; OSHA 510/511 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coach crew foremen in ORM boards and JHA development; document daily.
• Work day and/or night shifts, overtime, weekends as project schedule requires.
• Submit site safety audit reports with findings and corrective actions.
• Interact with field personnel to address observations and provide resolutions.
• Deliver site safety orientations for new employees as applicable.
• Assist with incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Periodically audit tools and equipment for good working order.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety rules and project requirements.
• Perform other duties to ensure safe, efficient project operations.
