Job summary

CEC Companies is seeking a Safety Coordinator to implement safety programs, conduct field walks, and oversee regulatory compliance and audits across project sites. This role requires promoting a strong safety culture and coaching personnel to maintain safe work practices.

You will lead incident investigations, perform tool inspections, and ensure subcontractor safety compliance, with travel to sites as needed to support multiple projects.

Qualifications

• 1 - 3 years in construction safety experience (electrical, mechanical safety experience preferred).
• OSHA 30 Construction required; OSHA 510/511 preferred.
• Degree or extensive training in environmental health and safety discipline a plus.
• Bi-lingual is desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coach Crew Foreman/General Foremen in completing ORM boards and JHA development.
• Submit Site Safety Audit reports daily with findings and corrective actions.
• Interact with field personnel and site supervision to address safety observations and provide feedback for resolution.
• Assist with site safety orientations for new employees joining the project.
• Assisting site supervision in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Perform periodic audits of power tools and equipment to ensure proper maintenance.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety rules and project requirements.
• Other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient safety processes.
