Job summary

CEC Companies seeks a Safety Coordinator to implement safety programs, conduct daily field walks, and oversee regulatory compliance on construction sites. This role focuses on coaching crews, developing Job Hazard Analyses, and documenting ORM boards with photos.

The position requires OSHA 30 Construction, field presence across sites, and the ability to travel. Strong communication and training skills are essential to foster a proactive safety culture among workers and supervisors.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in construction safety experience (electrical, mechanical safety preferred)
• OSHA 30 Construction required; OSHA 510/511 preferred
• CPR/FA Certification is a plus
• Strong communication and training abilities
• Ability to travel to project sites and work across shifts

Responsibilities

• Assist and coach foremen in completing ORM boards and Job Hazard Analyses
• Submit site safety audit reports daily with findings and photos
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis
• Perform periodic audits of tools and equipment to ensure safe operation
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety rules and project requirements
• Provide site safety orientations for new employees joining the project
• Interact with field staff to address safety observations and provide corrective actions
