HITT Contracting Inc. is seeking a Commercial Construction Project Engineer for their 12-month Futures Program in the Richmond, VA area. The role targets graduates, veterans, and motivated individuals, offering immersive on-site training with mentorship and a fast track to supervisor-level roles.

The program emphasizes hands-on learning, professional development, and personal growth within a top national general contractor. Travel at a 30–40 mile radius may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Military experience or an accredited Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or Business is strongly preferred.
• Previous experience on commercial job sites is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Commit to being fully onsite for the duration of the 12-month training program to shadow, learn, and gain hands-on experience on assigned projects.
• Demonstrate understanding of training topics and participate in performance reviews on a 4-month cadence.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with a focus on audience-appropriate writing and verbal skills.
• Set up and maintain jobsite office and all jobsite records, including project directory, construction documents, and logs.
• Assist Project Managers with budgeting, client management, and logistical tasks as needed.
