Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc is seeking a Commercial Construction Project Engineer to join the 12-month on-site Futures Program. The role offers immersive training, mentorship, and a clear path to promotion to assistant superintendent or assistant project manager following completion of the program.

Ideal candidates are recent graduates or veterans with a strong interest in construction leadership. The company emphasizes hands-on learning, professional development, and a collaborative work environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Military experience or four-year degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or Business strongly preferred.
• Previous experience on commercial job sites strongly preferred.
• Passion for construction industry and on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Commit to being fully onsite for the 12-month training program to shadow, learn, and gain hands-on experience.
• Demonstrate understanding of training topics through each phase of the year, with reviews on a 4-month cadence.
• Follow directions and coaching from Futures Program Sponsor (tenured superintendent or above).
• Showcase professional skills in clear, concise, audience-appropriate writing and verbal communication.
• Organize and manage multiple tasks and priorities at the same time.
• Collaborate with colleagues, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining jobsite records, including logs and reports.
• Assist Project Managers with budgeting and client management as needed.

Education
