Job summary

HITT Contracting invites recent graduates, veterans, and others to join the 12-month HITT Futures Program as a commercial construction project engineer (PE) on-site. The program offers immersive training, mentorship, and a clear path to promotion to assistant project manager or superintendent.

Located nationwide, the role requires full-time on-site commitment and proficiency with MS Office 365, ProCore, Adobe Suite, BlueBeam, and JD Edwards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Military experience or degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or Business preferred.
• Previous experience on commercial job sites preferred.
• Ability to learn sector- and project-specific software systems (MS Office 365, ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, JD Edwards).

Responsibilities

• Fully onsite for 12 months to shadow and learn day-to-day operations.
• Demonstrate training topic mastery and participate in performance reviews on a 4-month cadence.
• Set up and maintain jobsite records and as-built drawings as directed.
• Assist in budgeting, scheduling updates, and supplier coordination; support safety programs.
