Job summary

HITT Contracting seeks candidates for its Commercial Construction Project Engineer role within the HITT Futures Program. The 12‑month onsite program offers mentorship, hands‑on learning, and a fast track to promotion as an assistant project manager or superintendent.

You'll shadow senior leaders, gain practical skills, and participate in safety and quality initiatives across active projects. Strong communication and organizational abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Military experience or an accredited Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience on commercial job sites preferred; on-site work ability essential.
• Ability to learn sector software such as MS Office 365, ProCore, Adobe Suite, BlueBeam, JD Edwards.

Responsibilities

• Commit to being fully onsite for the 12‑month training program.
• Shadow, learn, and gain hands‑on experience with day‑to‑day operations.
• Set up and maintain jobsite office and records, including directives and logs.
• Assist the superintendent and project team with tasks as directed.
• Participate in safety meetings, site inspections, and quality workmanship goals.
