Job summary

Asset Living seeks an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial tasks of the housing community, reporting to the Community Manager. You will manage rent collection, accounts receivable, and ensure compliance with policies.

As an onsite leader, you supervise staff, enforce fair housing and safety guidelines, and support marketing and leasing activities to optimize occupancy and financial performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Posting payments and income from applicants, residents, and others accurately and timely.
• Processing and reconciling daily all accounts receivable.
• Monitor and follow up on bad debt; send late notices and handle evictions.
• Help the property meet budgeted revenues, expenses and NOI.
• Post charges to resident accounts; bill back utilities where applicable.
• Handle end-of-month closing procedures and reporting.

Education
