Job summary

Asset Living is a fast-growing property management firm seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions of the housing community under the supervision of the Community Manager. You will lead onsite staff, manage rent collections, keep accurate records, conduct regular property inspections, and ensure compliance with fair housing and safety guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma (bachelor's preferred) and strong computer skills; salary range

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry.
• Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Posting all payments and income accurately, timely, and efficiently.
• Processing and reconciling daily all account receivables.
• Monitoring bad debt, late notices, resident and guarantor contact, and evictions.
• Helping the property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
• Posting charges to resident accounts and utilities bill backs where applicable.
• End-of-month closing procedures and reporting.
• Maintaining accurate records; auditing resident files.
• Walking units and posting move-out charges, statements, and security deposit refunds.
• Regular onsite attendance and leadership of staff.
• Screening, hiring, training, coaching, and developing onsite staff.
• Ensuring staff compliance with company policies and safety/fair housing guidelines.
• Strategic leasing management and marketing plan execution.
• Handling resident complaints, retention programs, and leasing close procedures.
• Showing, leasing, and moving in prospective residents.
• Managing customer service and maintenance service requests.
• Supervising business functions related to operations and procurement.
