Job summary

Asset Living is hiring an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions of the housing community under the Community Manager. You will drive rent collection and cash flow optimization, supervise onsite staff, and ensure compliance with policies, safety, and fair housing guidelines.

The role covers personnel, leasing, maintenance, and risk management. Requires high school diploma; Bachelor’s preferred or two years housing-industry experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Posting payments and income accurately, timely, and efficiently.
• Processing and reconciling daily all accounts receivable.
• Monitor and follow up on bad debt including late notices, resident and guarantor contact, and evictions.
• Help the property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
• Posting charges to resident accounts and bill backs of utilities where applicable.
• End-of-month closing procedures and reporting.
• Maintain organized records; audit resident files for accuracy.
• Walk units and post move-out charges, statements, and security deposits.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
