Job summary

Asset Living seeks a Community Manager to supervise all on-site operations of a housing community in California. You will lead staff, oversee leasing, maintenance, and financials, ensuring compliance with policies, safety, and fair housing guidelines.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s preferred) with housing industry experience; CAM/ARM credentials are a plus. Strong leadership and on-site software skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or four year’s experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
• Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Regular/daily onsite attendance is required.
• Screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on-site staff in line with company directives.
• Develop yearly operating budgets/forecasts and monitor financial performance.
• Manage leasing, marketing plans, and resident relations to maximize net operating income.
• Ensure staff compliance with company policies and procedures and provide leadership in emergencies.
• Oversee maintenance operations, vendor management, and safety compliance.
• Address resident complaints and ensure timely response and resolution.
