Job summary

Asset Living is seeking a Community Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a housing community on-site in Texas. You will lead staff, supervise leasing, maintenance, financials, and risk management while ensuring policy compliance and fair housing adherence.

The role focuses on executive on-site leadership, budgeting, rent collections, vendor management, and resident retention, with a strong emphasis on customer service and emergency response.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or four year’s experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
• Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all operations of a housing community on-site under Regional Manager.
• Screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on-site staff; monitor performance and provide guidance.
• Develop yearly operating budgets/forecasts and monitor expenses.
• Manage leasing, marketing, resident relations, and retention programs.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety, fair housing, and liability guidelines.
