Job summary

Greystar is hiring an Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of the property. You will handle rent collection, banking, invoicing, and monthly close-outs, using Yardi/OneSite to record financial activity and report on performance.

The role requires 1-3 years in property management or residence life, a bachelor's degree, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field is preferred.
• 1-3 years minimum of relevant experience in residence life and/or property management.
• Understanding of lease terms and lease enforcement, including collections.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Completes daily transactions and tasks related to financial operation by collecting payments, preparing deposits, and reconciling bank accounts.
• Operates property management software (Yardi/OneSite) and records transactions accurately.
• Reviews resident files to determine unpaid balances, communicates with residents, and enforces lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Reviews and submits invoices from vendors for payment and coordinates with owner/clients as needed.
• Follows procedures related to evictions by proper notice and court actions.
• Processes move-outs by applying deposits and processing dispositions per policies.
• Promotes resident satisfaction by addressing complaints and requests promptly.
• Acts as on-site supervisor in the absence of the community manager and coordinates maintenance tasks.
• Assists in owner relations by tours, updates, and responding to requests.
• May assist leasing and marketing efforts by greeting prospects and helping with applications.
