Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions of a housing community, under the supervision of the Community Manager. You will play a vital role in delinquency and rent collection to optimize cash flow and financial position, while supervising on-site staff and ensuring compliance with company policies and fair housing guidelines.

As an onsite leader, you will manage operations across personnel, leasing, maintenance, and risk

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Post all payments and income accurately, timely, and efficiently.
• Process and reconcile daily accounts receivable.
• Monitor and follow up on bad debt, late notices, and evictions.
• Help the property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
• Post charges to resident and non-current resident accounts; bill back utilities where applicable.
• Perform end-of-month closing procedures and reporting.
• Maintain accurate records; audit resident files for accuracy.
• Walk units and post move-out charges, statements, and security deposit refunds.

Education
