Job summary

Asset Living, a nationwide property management partner, seeks an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions of a housing community. You will be vital in delinquency management, rent collection, and on-site leadership under the Community Manager, ensuring compliance with policies, safety, and fair housing guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; degree preferred or related experience.
• Ability to use onsite software and basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Posting all payments and income from applicants, residents, and other sources accurately and timely.
• Processing and reconciling daily accounts receivable.
• Monitor and follow up on bad debt including late notices and evictions.
• Help the property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and NOI.
• Post charges to resident accounts and bill back utilities where applicable.
• Perform end-of-month closing procedures and reporting.
• Maintain organized resident files and audit records.
• Walk units and post move-out charges and refunds.
• Maintain regular on-site attendance and enforce company policies.
• Lead staff through training, coaching, and development in line with Asset Living benchmarks.
• Promote harmony and quality performance among staff.
• Ensure leasing techniques are effective and documentation is up to date.
• Implement marketing strategies per annual plan and address resident concerns.
• Develop resident retention programs and show/lease/move-in prospects.
