Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong communication skills and knowledge about community resources
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make well-thought-out decisions
• Computer literate with MS Word and Excel and ability to learn specialized databases and software systems
• Ability to work with a culturally diverse customer base and be culturally sensitive
• Ability to meet and exceed set goals and objectives
• Excellent interpersonal, time management, customer service, organizational and written communication skills
• Knowledgeable about the WIOA program and workforce requirements
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality
• Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Provide information and case management services to community members interested in workforce services
• Complete intake and eligibility determination for assigned programs
• Assess jobseekers' employment, abilities, and training needs
• Serve as a liaison between workforce programs and community partners
• Enter data into WIT and process clients through IS as required
• Guide jobseekers through Individual Employment Plans (IEP)
• Stay on top of labor market trends and best practices in career paths
• Counsel clients on job opportunities, training programs, and services
• Refer individuals to services and follow up
• Conduct orientations, workshops, and group presentations
• Assist participants in removing barriers to employment and training
• Maintain accurate case files in WIT with required eligibility documents
• Meet/exceed program benchmarks and participate in staff events
• Complete all required reports in the data management system
• Approach tasks with a proactive mindset
• Perform other duties as needed
