Job summary

Career Team in Covington, TN is seeking a Career Advisor to provide career counseling, intensive case management, and follow-up services onsite. The role reports to the WIOA Program Lead and requires 100% onsite work at the listed location.

You will assist participants with intake, eligibility, employment planning, and connections to training. Maintain confidentiality, collaborate with partners, and document in VOS and related systems throughout the program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication skills and knowledge of community resources.
• Must have MS Word and Excel skills at minimum, and the ability to learn specialized databases and software systems.
• Ability to work with a diverse customer base and be culturally sensitive.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and case management services to the community and eligible WIOA participants.
• Collaborate with the Intake Specialist to complete intake and eligibility determination for the workforce program.
• Assess jobseekers’ employment, abilities, and training needs through interviewing, testing, and other methods.
• Enter data into VOS and otherwise use and process clients through any participant information system as required.
• Guide job seekers through the preparation of individual employment plans (IEP) based on their specific occupational goals.
