Job summary

Career Team is seeking a Career Advisor to provide professional career counseling, intensive case management, and follow-up services in Elizabethtown, KY. This full-time, non-exempt role supports registered customers within the One-Stop system and requires coordinating ITA vouchers, IEP development, and service referrals.

Ideal candidates bring 1+ year(s) in counseling or case management, strong Excel/Google skills, and a commitment to high-quality client service.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of work experience combining elements of training, counseling, case management, or other services.
• 1+ years of case management experience and the ability to read and interpret policies and procedures.
• 1+ years of experience with computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Google suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Mail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Drive.
• 1+ years of demonstrated ability working in a dynamic team environment with an aptitude for communication, interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with others, show courteousness, and having a high level of professionalism.
• A demonstrated ability to work in a variety of settings with a culturally-diverse customer base with the ability to be culturally sensitive.
• A demonstrated ability to serve as a role model to customers and motivate them toward achieving goals.
• Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A Valid Driver’s License in good standing and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive case management services to registered customers within the One-Stop system.
• Complete intake and eligibility determination for the workforce program.
• Enter data into and otherwise use and process clients through any participant information system as required.
• Guide jobseekers through the preparation of individual employment plans (IEP).
• Counsel clients on available job opportunities, training programs, and other services.
• Complete ITA vouchers and other documents for clients entering training.
• Refer individuals to appropriate services and follow up on activities.
• Conduct orientation sessions, workshops, and group presentations for clients.
• Maintain accurate case files and eligibility documentation.
