Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Maintenance Engineer to optimize daily operations and critical infrastructure for a manufacturing/production client. This onsite role focuses on a safe, reliable, and well-maintained facility, with a Monday–Friday day shift.

You will manage mechanical, plumbing, fire/life safety, HVAC, and control systems, lead safety initiatives, and ensure compliance with codes while delivering high-quality technical support and innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Universal CFC certification is preferred. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
• Meet the physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Ability to exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of information.
• Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
• Sophisticated math skills including percentages, fractions, and financial calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.Keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards.
• Comply with codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and safety.
• Maintain an energy management program to optimize system efficiency.
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean workplace.
• Review inspections of building systems (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) to ensure design conditions.
