Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Maintenance Engineer for an onsite role in Kentucky, supporting a manufacturing client. The position emphasizes safe, reliable facilities operation, proactive maintenance, and technical leadership.

You will troubleshoot complex systems, perform repairs, and implement preventive programs while ensuring compliance with safety codes. This role requires strong MS Office skills, physical fitness, and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 4–5 years related experience; combination of experience and education allowed.
• Universal CFC certification preferred.
• Active driver’s license required.
• Must meet physical requirements including lifting 50 lbs and mobility.
• Strong MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook) skills and organizational mindset.
• Able to analyze multiple information sources to apply sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Comply with codes and safety regulations governing building operations.
• Maintain an energy management program for efficient system operation.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow policies for safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Review building inspections (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) for design compliance.
• Apply standard principles to complex tasks and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share discipline knowledge; lead by CBRE RISE values.
• Lead by example and help teams reach consensus on issues.
