Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Maintenance Engineer to optimize operations for a manufacturing/production client. This onsite role features a Monday–Friday day shift and focuses on high reliability and meticulous maintenance of critical facility systems.

You will troubleshoot complex equipment, implement preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with codes and safety standards while driving efficiency and reliability across the building portfolio.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 4–5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Universal CFC certification preferred; other licenses as required by local/state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire life safety, and control systems.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and safety regulations.
• Maintain energy management programs and optimize system efficiency.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and emergency repairs to meet design specs.
• Support safe storage and handling of hazardous materials and keep a clean, safe workplace.
• Review inspections of building systems (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) for operation within design specs.
• Lead by example and share knowledge across disciplines; mentor team members.
