Job summary

Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is seeking a Hospital Based Bilingual Patient Advocate to guide uninsured hospital patients through medical and disability assistance programs. This on-site role places you in patient rooms, assisting with eligibility and applications for federal, state, and county support.

As a key liaison, you will ensure bedside screening, complete enrollment steps, and maintain accurate documentation while delivering compassionate service in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, except when required by our client.

Responsibilities

• Screen uninsured hospital patients at bedside to determine eligibility for federal, state, and/or county medical or disability assistance.
• Complete the appropriate applications and follow through until approved.
• Document thoroughly in MPower and hospital systems for all cases.
• Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
• Attend ongoing trainings to apply updated knowledge.
• Maintain assigned work queue of patient accounts.
• Collaborate with hospital staff, case managers, social workers, and financial counselors.
• Handle calls and track enrollment and renewal for Medicaid patients.
