Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is seeking a Hospital Based Bilingual Patient Advocate to assist uninsured hospital patients with federal, state, and local programs. The role involves bedside visits, in-person interactions, and guiding patients through eligibility and application processes to secure financial assistance.

This onsite hospital-based position in Charlottesville, VA requires English/Spanish communication, a Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM schedule, and a strong commitment to

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, as required by client.
• Prior hospital experience preferred.
• Ability to maneuver throughout the hospital and patients’ rooms.
• Fluent Spanish and English communication required.
• Experience with state and federal programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Screen uninsured hospital patients at bedside to assess program eligibility.
• Complete applications and follow through until approval.
• Document cases accurately in hospital and internal systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
• Engage in ongoing trainings to apply new rules and procedures.
• Maintain workflow queue and coordinate with hospital staff.
• Contact applicants and agencies by phone; track enrollment and renewals.
• Assist applicants with gathering required reports and documents.
• Inform clients of approvals/denials in a timely manner.
• Attend required trainings and stay updated on program changes.
• Uphold regular attendance and perform other duties as assigned.
