Job summary

TGW Logistics seeks an Site Engineering Manager for a customer-facing, onsite leadership role with Lifetime Services. You will supervise automation technicians, coordinate maintenance, and act as the liaison between the customer and TGW on automation topics at the Austin site.

Ideal candidates bring mechatronics expertise, CMMS proficiency, and strong leadership to deliver high customer satisfaction and effective incident resolution in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or Technical Certificate required; Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience supervising a maintenance team in a factory or warehouse with automation equipment.
• Proven leadership ability, people and performance management skills, and experience handling high-stress scenarios requiring interpersonal skills and conflict resolution.
• Several years’ experience in mechatronic troubleshooting and repair with material handling conveyor, AS/RS, and shuttle experience.
• Strong proficiency in CMMS systems.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between the customer facility and TGW Lifetime Services team; attend regular customer meetings and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
• Develop rapport with customer operational staff at all levels; identify system improvement opportunities proactively.
• Coordinate all maintenance activities, including the Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule and rapid-response troubleshooting; provide hands‑on electrical, mechanical, and software support.
• Drive incident management efforts; ensure timely resolution and lead root‑cause analysis activities.
• Oversee TGW personnel onsite; participate in recruitment and onboarding, manage performance, training, and scheduling tasks.
• Manage budget requirements for onsite support.
