Job summary

TGW Logistics in Cowpens, SC is seeking a Resident Automation Technician Team Lead to supervise a resident technician team and coordinate automation activities at a customer facility. The role requires strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, controls automation, and software support, plus leadership within a high-demand environment.

You will act as the primary liaison between the customer and TGW, manage incidents, coordinate maintenance, and drive root-cause analyses to resolve issues

Qualifications

• Associate degree or Technical Certificate in Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Several years of demonstrated experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment in industrial, warehousing/distribution, or related environments.
• Knowledge of electromechanical troubleshooting and repair of conveyors, AS/RS, and shuttle systems.
• Leadership experience in high-stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the point person between the facility and Lifetime Services team for automation topics.
• Assist with onsite responsibilities such as managing incidents, training needs, shift work, approving timecards, and attending customer meetings.
• Coordinate work orders and oversee maintenance activities for automated equipment onsite (conveyors, cranes, shuttles, scale checks, carton‑opening systems).
• Provide hands-on maintenance assistance and lead troubleshooting efforts requiring deep technical knowledge.
• Resolve equipment issues quickly and perform root cause analyses.
