Job summary

Datalogic is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, configure and commission barcode scanning equipment at customer sites. You will maintain and repair devices, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot hardware and software, and deliver on-site training to customer staff.

The role requires 90%+ travel, with a technical background and strong problem-solving and communication skills. A technical degree is preferred, and MS Dynamics experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred but not required.
3+ years of field service experience in automation or similar markets with electrical/electronic devices.
Willing to travel 90%+ and work flexibly, including weekends or overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, calibrate and start-up new equipment at customer sites as specified.
Perform preventive maintenance and on-site repairs on Datalogic devices.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues at customer locations.
Provide on-site training to customer personnel when required.
Prepare accurate service reports including expenses.
