Job summary

Asset Living in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking an Affordable Housing Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions of the housing community under the Community Manager. You will drive rent collection and ensure compliance with policy and safety standards.

You will lead on-site staff, monitor budgets, maintain records, and implement resident retention and leasing strategies for affordable assets, including LIHTC and HUD programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years housing industry experience.
• Ability to operate onsite software and basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
• Experience with affordable housing programs (LIHTC, HUD) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and financial functions of the housing community.
• Manage rent collection and delinquency to optimize cash flow.
• Supervise on-site staff and ensure compliance with policies and safety standards.
• Prepare end-of-month closing and reporting.
• Maintain accurate records and audit resident files.
• Develop resident retention and leasing strategies for affordable assets.
