Job summary

RTX is seeking a software-focused role within Test Solutions Engineering in Tucson, AZ. You will design and implement object-oriented software that interfaces with state-of-the-art hardware, supporting life-cycle stages from lab demos to production testing and sustainment.

You will collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and systems teams, use Visual Studio, and apply Agile/Waterfall methods to ensure robust test tools and professional engineering outputs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) required by start date.
• Experience developing, testing, or integrating software applications using languages such as C, C++, C#, Python, or VB/VBA/.NET.
• Experience developing, building, and debugging Windows applications using Visual Studio IDE.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, and integrate OO software applications and test software for Windows.
• Develop system-level software requirements, specs, and architectural designs.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize software for test accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with systems, electrical, and mechanical engineers to integrate software with hardware.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and defect resolution.
• Work within Agile and Waterfall lifecycles.
