RTX is seeking a Software Test Solutions Engineer for an onsite role in Tucson, AZ. You will help architect and build software tools that interface with engineering hardware across the product lifecycle, from lab demonstrations to production testing.

Ideal candidates hold an advanced STEM degree and have experience with C/C++, C#, Python, and Visual Studio, plus Git. This U.S.-based role requires citizenship and the ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifikationen

• Advanced degree in STEM. Degree must be obtained by start date.
• Experience developing, testing, or integrating software applications using one or more programming languages, such as C, C++, C#, Python, or Visual Basic (VB/VBA/.NET).
• Experience developing, building, and debugging software applications targeting Windows operating systems using the Microsoft Visual Studio integrated development environment (IDE).

Aufgaben

• Design, code, and integrate object-oriented software applications and test software targeting Windows operating platforms.
• Develop and derive system-level software requirements, operational specifications, and architectural designs.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize software applications to ensure rigorous test accuracy, repeatability, and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with systems, electrical, and mechanical engineers to integrate software test tools with specialized hardware instrumentation.
• Participate actively in formal design reviews, code peer reviews, and technical defect resolution.
• Work within structured engineering frameworks applying both Agile and Waterfall development lifecycles.
