Job summary

RTX is seeking a software-focused engineer to join the Test Solutions Engineering team in Tucson, AZ. The role develops software interfacing with engineering hardware, supporting products from lab demos to long-term production testing.

Responsibilities include designing robust tools, validating test environments, and ensuring high reliability across the software-hardware interface. A STEM degree and Windows/Visual Studio experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM fields required by start date.
• Experience developing, testing, or integrating software applications in Windows environments.
• Strong foundation in software development principles and object-oriented design.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, and integrate object-oriented software applications and test software for Windows.
• Develop system-level software requirements, specifications, and architecture.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize software for test accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with systems, electrical, and mechanical engineers to integrate software with hardware.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and defect resolution.
• Work within Agile and Waterfall lifecycles.
