Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing in the Virginia Beach area is seeking a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter for a full-time, on-site K-12 assignment, providing 1:1 interpretation for an elementary student throughout the day.

You will collaborate with teachers and support staff to enable participation and learning, with scheduling flexibility to cover where needed and contribute to a welcoming school community.

Qualifications

• VQAS Level III is required.
• EIPA score of 3.5 preferred; scores above 3.0 or QAS 3+ considered for interview.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 sign language interpretation for an assigned elementary student.
• Support participation in classroom activities, school events, and peer interactions.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with staff to support student success.
• Adapt to schedule changes and provide coverage for other students as needed.
