Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking Sign Language Interpreters to work one-on-one with elementary students in the Virginia Beach area. Positions run from August 25, 2026, through June 15, 2027, with a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities include providing effective 1:1 interpretation, adapting methods to each student, collaborating with teachers, and traveling between schools within the region to ensure coverage and continuity of learning.

Qualifications

• Valid VA Quality Assurance Screening (VQAS) Level III certification is required.
• EIPA score 3.5+ preferred; scores above 3.0 or a QAS score of 3 or better will also be interviewed.
• Experience interpreting in educational settings, especially with elementary students, is highly valued.
• Flexibility to work across different campuses based on student assignments.
• Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
• Positive attitude and genuine passion for supporting accessible learning.

Two contract positions are available for skilled Sign Language Interpreters to work one-on-one with elementary-aged students in the Virginia Beach area. This assignment begins August 25, 2026, and continues through June 15, 2027, offering a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Your assignments may shift between school locations, ensuring you have dynamic and meaningful experiences while supporting students who may not always be present at their home campus. While Visaphonics proficiency is appreciated, it is not required—commitment to student-centered, high-quality interpretation takes top priority.
