Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a Sign Language Interpreter to provide 1:1 ASL interpretation for a student in a school setting. The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, staff, and families to ensure access to instruction and social participation.

Full-time school-day schedule, Monday to Friday, with benefits including healthcare and 401k options. Candidates must have ASL proficiency and relevant interpreter certification; prior educational experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
• Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings preferred.
• State or national interpreter certification (EIPA, RID, or equivalent).
• Ability to work collaboratively with educators, staff, and families.
• Professionalism, discretion, and commitment to student confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one interpreting services to a student during classroom instruction and throughout the school day.
• Facilitate communication between student, teachers, staff, and peers.
• Adapt interpreting style to fit classroom activities and student needs.
• Support the student in accessing curriculum and social interactions.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings.
• Foster a supportive, inclusive environment for the student.
