Job summary

OneSelect Clinical Liaison (RN, OT, PT, or SLP) at Select Specialty Hospital - Akron joins a nationwide network of acute rehab facilities. You will advocate for referred patients, educate clinicians and families, coordinate pre-admission assessments, and facilitate transfers.

The role builds lasting relationships with case managers and physicians in acute care hospitals. Schedule: 8 AM–5 PM, Monday–Friday with rotating weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state licensure as RN, OT, PT or SLP; multi-state licensure based on territory.
• Two years related clinical experience preferred.
• Experience with preadmission and referral processes is a plus.
• Sales/marketing experience in healthcare settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops relationships with case managers, physicians and clinicians in acute care hospitals.
• Educates staff, patients and families about rehabilitation services.
• Assesses rehab patients at referring hospitals for admission to the rehab hospital.
• Manages referral process and coordinates care plans with physicians and families.

Overview

OneSelect Clinical Liaison (RN, OT, PT, or SLP)

Cleveland Clinic Rehabilitation Hospital, Edwin Shaw &Select Specialty Hospital - Akron

The OneSelect Clinical Liaison will help guide patients to our acute inpatient rehabilitation and critical illness recovery hospitals in the Akron area.

Salary Ranges from $70,000 to $95,000 per year, depending on years of relevant work experience.

Uncapped Monthly Bonus Incentives in addition to base salary.

Schedule: 8 AM to 5 PM Monday - Friday with rotating weekend and holiday coverage.

A day in the life

You’ll advocate for referred patients in the pre-admission process by collaborating with clinical teams to assess patient needs. You will serve as a resource for healthcare professionals by fostering relationships within medical facilities. With clinical expertise and problem-solving skills, you’ll also coordinate care plans with physicians and families. Additionally, you will facilitate patient transfers and address barriers to accessing specialized post-acute care.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

In this highly visible, challenging and rewarding position, you will assume a leadership role, developing and nurturing professional relationships with case managers, physicians and clinicians in acute care hospitals; educating staff, patients and families regarding rehabilitation services provided byourrehabilitation hospital. In addition, you will assess patients with rehab diagnosis, on-site at referring hospitals for admission tothe rehab hospitaland manage the referral process.

Specific Duties

• Creates target lists of contacts and decision makers in assigned hospitals. Develops relationships, provides excellent customer service and educates referral sources on services provided by the hospital.
• Demonstrates positive referrer satisfaction and account retention.
• Educates potential patients and families on acute rehabilitation and benefits of program(s). Distributes collateral materials appropriately.
• Supports Sales and Marketing through educational programs, tours, meetings, etc. in assigned hospitals.
• Develops strategies to grow market share in core business lines in assigned hospitals. Creates quarterly goals and objectives and submits to supervisor.
• Works with VP/Director Business Development to identify opportunities for expansion of strategic business initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist required. Multi-state licensure required based on geographical territory.

Preferred Experience

• Two years related experience working in a clinical healthcare setting or previous experience working in a clinical liaison role preferred.
• Demonstrated competency with the preadmission process including assessments and relationship building in a rehabilitation setting or in another post-acute care setting preferred.
• Proven track record in sales and marketing with a least one year experience in a related position preferred.
• Demonstrated computer proficiency.
• Must exercise sound judgment in handling professional/confidential nature of health care sales.
