Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 60 transferrable credits required.
• One year of experience working with students or customers in a service-oriented environment required.
• Prefer experience in higher education including one-stop centers, enrollment services, admissions, financial aid, registrar, or bursar/student accounts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of service for students, utilizing admissions, bursars, registrar, and financial aid knowledge.
• Assist prospective students with admissions applications and related questions.
• Guide new admits through the enrollment process.
• Triages student questions and assigns the right advisor; schedule advising as needed.
• Ensure students are connected with their academic advisor and follow up as needed.
• Confirm and update student records accurately.
• Check students in for appointments with other services on campus.
• Utilize Ellucian Banner to assess financial aid status and assist with aid processes and awards.
• Educate students on federal/state financial aid and FAFSA application.
• Advise on payment options and assist with payments.
• Resolve enrollment, payment, retention, and graduation issues.
• Navigate confidential student information across systems while ensuring privacy.
• Collaborate with Instruction, Student & Academic Affairs, Student Finance, and Enrollment Services.
• Document interactions and maintain inquiries/responses records.
• Escalate queries to ensure timely resolution; participate in training and development.
