Job summary

Centria Autism in Michigan is seeking passionate Behavior Technicians to support children with autism. You will work one-on-one under a BCBA, teaching communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based methods.

This role involves mobility and lifting up to 50 pounds, requires CPR/First Aid and TB tests, and culminates in a Registered Behavior Technician certification after onboarding. Join a team dedicated to meaningful, daily impact for kids and families.

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about helping children with autism
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
• 18+ years of age; high school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification and TB test
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Candidates must obtain an RBT certification after onboarding

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under the guidance of a BCBA
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills
• Reduce interfering behaviors and promote progress for each child
