Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children who have autism. You will implement individualized plans under the guidance of a BCBA, teaching communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based methods.

Training is provided, and the position emphasizes teamwork and safety. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and obtain CPR/First Aid and TB clearance as part of the onboarding.

Qualifications

• Patience and compassion to work with children with autism.
• Teamwork and cooperation with staff and BCBA guidance.
• Age 18 or older and readiness for training.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification and TB test.
• Able to pass background checks.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children using individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA supervision.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
• Follow BCBA guidance and document progress and milestones.
• Assist with physical activities and positioning as needed to ensure safety.
