Tennessee Oncology PLLC is seeking a Medical Assistant Scheduler to support a multidisciplinary surgical oncology team.

You will coordinate pre- and post-operative care, scheduling across oncology services, and ensure accurate documentation in eCW and provider Outlook calendars. Responsibilities include coordinating hospital admissions, imaging, follow-ups; verifying insurance and authorizations; and communicating treatment plans with empathy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant Training Program or 6 months recent MA experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and surgical procedures is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist with in-office oncology-related procedures as directed by providers, including wound care, drain management, dressing changes, and port care/flushing.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative instructions tailored to oncology patients and their families.
• Coordinate hospital admissions, discharges, and follow-up appointments for oncology patients.
• Coordinate with infusion centers, radiation oncology, and pathology departments to align treatment plans and communicate results.
• Upload and maintain documentation in hospital scheduling platforms and ensure alignment across systems.
