Job summary

Tennessee Oncology is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to manage complex patient appointment scheduling, including chemotherapy plans, referrals, radiology, and procedures. You will ensure accurate patient tracking in the EHR and support urgent case coordination with the pre-certification team.

This role requires strong customer service, multitasking in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to travel to clinics as needed. High school diploma or GED and EMR experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of professional office experience with customer service.
• EMR/EHR experience strongly preferred and knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephones and greet patients courteously.
• Route calls and messages to appropriate departments.
• Follow scheduling guidelines and interpret orders for appointments.
• Schedule internal and external appointments, radiology, referrals, and hospital admits.
• Track patients in the EHR and ensure no one is missed.
• Handle pre-certification communications for urgent cases.
