Job summary

UVA Health in Charlottesville seeks an Oncology Enhanced Scheduler to coordinate complex oncology appointments across UVA Health network, primarily at the Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center. This onsite role supports a multidisciplinary care team in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience in J2235 Patient Access O2.
• CHAA or CRCR certification within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate oncology appointments through Epic work queues.
• Schedule infusion treatments, provider visits, imaging services, laboratory appointments, and supportive care services.
• Assist with infusion patient check-in and check-out activities.
• Respond to patient calls and appointment inquiries with professionalism and compassion.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, pharmacists, and other care team members.
• Ensure appointments are coordinated appropriately based on treatment plans and clinical protocols.
• Support efficient patient flow and help maximize infusion capacity and access to care.
• Communicate scheduling updates, changes, and care coordination details to patients and clinical partners.
