Job summary

The Oncology Enhanced Scheduler at Commonwealth of VA Careers coordinates complex oncology scheduling across infusion, imaging, labs, and supportive care, working with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and care teams to align with treatment plans.

Responsibilities include interpreting treatment plans in Epic Beacon, maximizing infusion capacity, ensuring patient access, maintaining EMR accuracy, and supporting a hybrid work arrangement under UVA Health telework policy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification as CHAA or CRCR within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule complex oncology treatment plans across multiple specialties.
• Review Epic Beacon Treatment Plans and ensure alignment with protocols.
• Maintain accurate scheduling data and utilize Epic tools to support operations.
• Communicate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve scheduling barriers.
• Deliver patient-centered scheduling and optimize access.
