Job summary

Merck is hiring an Oncology Sales Representative to grow the oncology business within the Lexington, Kentucky territory and surrounding areas. The role involves engaging with customers, educating stakeholders, and delivering on sales targets while traveling for meetings and conferences.

The candidate should have a strong background in sales, oncology knowledge, and the ability to navigate complex accounts and multi-disciplinary teams to drive impact for cancer patients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of sales experience, or high school diploma with at least 8 years of equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive.
• Willing to travel 10–15%, including overnight travel.
• Reside in or near the district.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed the assigned sales goals for the geography.
• Collaborate with territory counterparts to ensure a seamless customer experience and build relationships with key stakeholders.
• Communicate the patient-centered rationale for oncology products to customers.
• Understand tumor types, treatment options, and care pathways to address customer needs.
• Analyze market patterns and various distribution channels to inform planning.
