Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking an Oncology Sales Representative to grow the company’s oncology portfolio across a defined geography.

You will engage with customers, educate stakeholders, and strive to meet or exceed sales goals through collaborative strategies with the Oncology Customer Team Leader and Key Account Manager. The role requires 2+ years of oncology field sales experience, and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of sales experience OR a minimum of high school diploma with at least 8 years of equivalent experience.
• Equivalent experience can be professional sales experience, healthcare/scientific field with oncology experience, marketing experience, or military experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Attain or exceed the assigned sales goals for the geography.
• Meet with key stakeholders to understand practice structure and needs.
• Communicate the patient-centered rationale for Oncology products using approved resources.
• Understand cancer pathways and treatment options and their impact on patients.
• Analyze trends in a complex buying environment across multiple distribution channels.
• Develop short- and long-term plans with the local team and district manager.
