Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of phlebotomy experience; oncology experience required.
• Education: BS/BA degree (preferred); High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Certification: Phlebotomy Certificate (as required by state regulations).

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures to obtain blood specimens with precision and care.
• Verify patient identity and test requisitions, cross-reference EMR records, and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain specimen integrity by following aseptic techniques and department protocols.
• Track collected specimens with initials, date, and collection time; maintain logs.
• Coordinate patient care services, scheduling, and align draw times with clinic needs.
• Collaborate with Field Sales and internal teams to support patient care and continuity.
• Act as liaison for accounts and Sales; document interactions and follow-ups.
• Respond to inquiries; resolve issues; communicate delays and arrange redraws when needed.
• Ensure compliance with CAP/CLIA, regulations, and internal policies.
