Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting in San Antonio, TX is seeking a contract Phlebotomist (Job 6145) to support oncology diagnostic testing. Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00am–5:00pm, with an initial 3-month term and potential for permanent placement.

Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and centrifuging specimens, and maintaining accurate data. Ensure specimen integrity and comply with OSHA/DEP while providing courteous patient care.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification required in the employment state.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience drawing blood, labeling specimens, centrifuging, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collect and store specimens according to established procedures; explain venipuncture process to patients.
• Match lab requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure 100% accuracy; package specimens for transport.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual department trainings.
