Job summary

Joseph Michaels International seeks a Phlebotomist for a contract role in San Antonio, TX. The candidate will perform blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, and data recording, ensuring specimen integrity and proper transport.

The position requires 1–2 years of oncology diagnostic phlebotomy experience and adherence to safety protocols. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with benefits available and potential for permanent placement.

Qualifications

Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
Minimum 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
Collects and stores specimens, explains venipuncture clearly and courteously.
Demonstrate technique with straight and butterfly needles; verify orders and match requisitions.
Package specimens for transport, store according to protocol, and maintain specimen integrity.
Comply with OSHA/DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
Answer inquiries and communicate results as required.
