Job summary

The Keystone Distinction Group seeks a detail-oriented Phlebotomist to support oncology diagnostics in San Antonio, TX. This contract role runs 3 months with potential for permanent placement. Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00am-5:00pm.

Experience in blood draws, specimen labeling, and handling according to protocol is essential. Responsibilities include performing venipuncture, preparing specimens, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring OSHA/DEP compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification required for the state of employment.
• Minimum of 6 months' experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and transports as required.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously; demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
