Tennessee Oncology, a leading community-based cancer care network, seeks a Patient Services Coordinator to provide total medical office support, including registration and scheduling, while maintaining patient confidentiality and high service standards.

You will manage patient intake, insurance data, co-pays, and appointment scheduling across clinics, with proficiency in EHR systems and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5 years’ experience in a professional office with customer service required.
  • Strong computer skills including Windows file management and MS Office.
  • Electronic Medical Records experience required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work productively and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Answers the telephone and greets patients in a courteous, efficient manner.
  • Routes calls/messages to appropriate discipline/department.
  • Ensures standardization of processes across all clinics.
  • Conducts patient check-in, check-out and medical records handling.
  • Enters patient information into PM/EHR systems.
  • Collects co-pays and payments; manages daily deposits and sign-in sheets.
  • Schedules patient appointments (internal and external).
  • Generates daily reports for unscheduled orders and program details.
  • Communicates with patients about the Patient Engagement Portal and registrations.
  • Maintains confidentiality and adheres to SOPs; travels to satellite clinics as needed.
