Job summary

American Oncology Network (AON) is seeking a Patient Services Specialist to manage patient intake, scheduling, medical records, and financial transactions with a focus on accuracy and service quality.

You will support multiple clinics, ensure HIPAA-compliant documentation, and collaborate with Financial Counselors to resolve billing issues while maintaining a welcoming patient experience.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma; Associates degree preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in a healthcare setting; physician office experience preferred.
• Demonstrated customer service focus with strong attention to detail and multitasking ability

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and caregivers professionally to create a welcoming environment.
• Check in patients and verify identity per standards; document arrival status in EMR.
• Collect and post patient payments; issue receipts and notify Financial Counselor when needed.
• Schedule and manage patient appointments; coordinate physician requests and follow-ups.
• Create and update patient charts in EMR and billing systems; respond to records requests.
