Job summary

Qualifications

• Four years of related work experience including scheduling and registration, or two years with an Associate's degree, or one year with a Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum one year of experience in medical scheduling and registration and excellent customer service skills.
• CHAA certification required within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for new patients entering Waterford Smilow Care Center.
• Process new patient referrals and collect intake data.
• Register and schedule patient appointments with Nurse Coordinator coordination.
• Coordinate pre-visit testing within standard referral to consult timeframe.
• Register demographic data and ensure insurance referrals in Epic.
• Orient new patients and families to facility and visit process.
• Identify access to care/financial resources and coordinate referrals.
• Notify referring providers of appointment details.
• Handle inquiries and reschedule new patient consultations.
• Place live reminder calls for new consults.
